Does green go with blue?

Blue and green should not be seen - the old saying goes, but i have a feeling that actually they go quite well together! what do you reckon?

if anybody has done art in school they will know blue and green are complemetry colours meaning the complement each other so yeah they do go together. think blue jeans..fadded green shirt of sum sort. it worx.
