i do my best, i save carrier bags and try to recycle but its not easy as the university doesnt collect cans and tins.

Hmm that's rubbish.
Very interesting article in the times today about Canary Wharf and the lights left on over night in the large office buildings there. Not only is it a waste, it is also costing an estimated £7k per night! Madness, why dont they just turn them off ???
